Will massage therapy help me?

You should know within 1 to 3 sessions if massage therapy can help you.
I generally encourage patients to follow up within 7-10 days after their initial visit. From that point we can talk about what you can do on your own for long term relief. You may return as many times as you wish, but I will never tell you that you require ongoing maintenance.

What if I've been in a car accident?

If you've been hurt in a car crash you can book in for a massage immediately. Twelve (12) sessions are pre-authorized for ICBC customers within the first 12 weeks of their crash. If more than 12 weeks have passed please contact ICBC to confirm that you’re still covered.

Do you do direct billing?

Direct billing is available through most private insurance companies and ICBC. I am not able to direct bill Sun Life Financial or Worksafe BC at this time. If your policy does not offer direct billing for massage therapists, you will be given a receipt at the time of payment that you can then submit for reimbursement.

For patients on MSP supplementary benefits, $23 will be deducted from your fee. This applies to your first ten visits in a calendar year to an allied healthcare provider, which includes RMT, chiropractic care, physiotherapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, and non-surgical podiatry.

It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider for annual coverage limits, deductibles and co-pays, and to determine if you need a doctor's referral prior to receiving treatment.

What if I’m pregnant?

Congratulations! You can book any treatment as a prenatal/perinatal massage, simply book the treatment duration of your choice. When you arrive we will discuss the treatment and if necessary I can add extra pillows to the massage table, so you can comfortably lie on your side and/or in the semi-fowler position.
